Corinth Canal, Delphi & Athens
DAY 1
Leave by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive on and visit the Theatre of Epidaurus, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the town of Nauplion for a short photo stop before we drive on to Mycenae to visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Then depart for Olympia through the Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games. (Dinner)
DAY 2
After breakfast visit the Archaeological site of Olympia with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Then drive on through the plains of Eliad and Achaia over the magnificent bridge crossing the Corinthian Gulf from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea to arrive late afternoon in Delphi. Overnight. (Dinner)
DAY 3
Breakfast and leave for the visits of the Archaeological Site and the Museum of Delphi. Then you will have time to explore the picturesque village of Delphi on your own. On the way back a stop will be made in the village of Arachova, well known for the colorful rugs and carpets and the many traditional products. Then continue via Levadia and Thebes to arrive back in Athens early in the evening.
