Hydra, Paros & Aegenia
This highly recommended full day excursion cruise travels between the 3 Saronic islands of Poros, Hydra and Aegina, letting you explore and experience in this way different sights and styles of architecture during one single day.
Poros island is separated from the Peloponnese by a narrow sea-way. It is a green island with many olive- and lemon-trees. It has also many nice beaches and little bays and the quay of the harbor if full of live.
Hydra is a very popular destination. The graphical port and amphitheatrically built stone housed village attract many artists. It is also well-known for its history during the War of Independence in the 19th century. No cars are allowed on this small island so take either a walk or a donkey-ride through its traditional stone housed village center and stroll along the boulevard with its numerous shops, cafes and restaurants.
Aegina is the biggest island of the Saronic Gulf, close to Athens and Piraeus and for this reason also a very popular week-end destination for the Athenians. The island is also well-known for the Temple of Aphea Athena, the beautiful sandy beaches, pottery and pistachio-nuts!
