DAY 1 – ARRIVE THESSALONIKI
Transfer to your Hotel in the city of Thessaloniki.
DAY 2 – AMPHIPOLIS – PHILIPPI – KAVALA (NEAPOLIS)
After a brief stop at Amphipolis we make our way to Philippi. Here we will see the Agora and the prison where Paul and Sylas were kept. After worship at the baptismal site of Lydia we shall continue to Kavala, the ancient port of Neapolis.
DAY 3 – THESSALONICA – BEREA – VERGINA – KALAMBAKA
This morning we shall drive to the upper part of the old city walls that offer excellent views of the city. After our sightseeing drive we make our way to Berea and see the Byzantine mosaic commemorating Paul’s preaching there.
On to Vergina, the first capital of Macedonia, where we will visit the tomb of Philip II, the father of Alexander the Great. The tour also includes a visit to the museum that houses the priceless artifacts found here.
DAY 4 – METEORA MONASTERIES – ATHENS
Visit two of the spectacular Byzantine monasteries at Meteora, perched precariously on huge finger-like rocks. View the superb icons, old manuscripts and unique mosaics and frescoes.
DAY 5 – ATHENS
Today we shall see the highlights of Athens including visits to the Acropolis and Mars Hill, where the Apostle Paul preached to the Athenians
DAY 6 – ANCIENT CORINTH – CENCHREAE
After our enchanting drive along the Saronic Gulf our first stop will be at the Corinth Canal. Then on to the site of Ancient Corinth, home to the Apostle Paul for 1½ years. Visit the ancient port of Cenchreae before returning to Athens.
DAY 7 – ONE DAY CRUISE
We will spend one wonderful day sailing around the Aegean islands. We shall stop at the islands of Aegina, Poros and Hydra. There will be free time on each island to shop and explore.
DAY 8 – ATHENS DEPARTURE
Depart from Athens.
